Tammy Bishop is asking strangers in Las Vegas to look for a wedding ring that vanished on the night of her October 20 marriage.
Will Mulroy, her husband, lost the band at a bar on the Strip after their ceremony at the Viva Las Vegas Chapel. Bishop said the couple had taken a party bus to tour the city. At one stop, Mulroy looked down and realized his ring was missing. He began to cry, according to Bishop. She noted that he had told her earlier the ring was two sizes too large because he had lost weight. She believes it may have slid off on the bus or while he transferred into his wheelchair. The pair retraced their route and asked the bus driver and staff for help, but they did not find it.
Bishop joked with Mulroy the next morning that he had lost it before 24 hours had passed. The group laughed at the time. She told him it was not a big deal and that they would buy him a new one. That assurance feels different now. Mulroy died three days after the wedding. He was in severe pain on the drive home to South Dakota and planned to visit an emergency room upon arrival. The following morning, he was congested, so Bishop told him to skip work. She could not wake him and called 911. Doctors at the hospital declared him brain dead. He was kept on life support for 24 hours. His heart stopped three times in the emergency room.
The couple met in July 2023 and began dating in March 2024. A week after they started dating, Mulroy suffered a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed. Bishop said he was angry at first. He repeatedly asked her to marry him. She agreed this summer. On her October 4 birthday, he revealed that he had booked a trip to Las Vegas for their wedding. She described the day as perfect and said he was on cloud nine. Mulroy first saw her in her dress when she boarded the party bus. He worked at Fleet Farm and had experience with party buses. The couple planned to start their own party bus business. Bishop described him as mechanically inclined and self-sufficient.
The rings were blessed, Bishop said. She wants the specific band returned because it represents Mulroy and their wedding. She hopes a stranger who found it will turn it in.
