Jay-Z will perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027. The concert is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The announcement concludes a year-long promotional cycle branded as Jay-Z 30. The artist launched the series in late May as a headliner at the Roots Picnic. In July, he played three sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium to mark the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint and the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt. His recent schedule included performances in Paris and London, as well as an eight-part docuseries titled Jay-Z in 8 with producer Rick Rubin. He finished his global tour with two nights at SoFi Stadium over the weekend, joined by guests including Scarface, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Blue Ivy Carter, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Too Short.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stated that the league has collaborated with Jay-Z and Roc Nation for several years. Goodell recalled making a specific request when the NFL first agreed to Roc Nation producing the show: that Jay-Z perform personally when the timing felt right. Goodell said he is excited for fans to experience the artist's cultural impact on the Super Bowl stage.

Oliver Schusser, Apple's Vice President of Music and International Content, described Jay-Z's influence on global music culture as profound and undeniable. Schusser noted that Apple has worked with the artist in recent years to bring prominent performers to the halftime stage. He expressed confidence that the 2027 show will be incredible.

The broadcast will air on ESPN, ABC, and Disney+. Mobile viewers can watch through NFL+. ESPN Deportes and Disney+ will provide a Spanish-language telecast, while Univision will carry a separate Spanish-language presentation. Roc Nation will serve as executive producer, and Hamish Hamilton will direct the event.

The previous halftime show featured Bad Bunny. That performance included a mock sugar-cane field and a Puerto Rican vecindad set. Guests included Jessica Alba, Karol G, Cardi B, Young Miko, and Pedro Pascal, with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin appearing as surprise performers. The show averaged 128.2 million viewers. This figure exceeds the 124.9 million average for the game overall but falls short of the 133.5 million viewers reached by Kendrick Lamar in 2025. Usher holds the previous record from his 2024 show.

Last month, Bad Bunny won his first Emmy for the performance in the outstanding special (live) category. The production collected seven Emmys in total. These awards included categories for musical direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction, camerawork, and directing.
